Helping young people to understand who we are collectively as the Catholic Church, and helping the students of Sacred Heart discover who they are as people of faith, is an important component of the Religion program at Sacred Heart. Religious beliefs and practices organize human life around ultimate commitments and concerns; developing an appreciation and understanding of the varied forms and elements of the Roman Catholic Church and Christianity in general, as well as the other faith traditions of the world, makes a profound contribution to quality secondary school education. The students of Sacred Heart not only learn about religious faith and religion in general, they have many
opportunities to develop their personal relationship with God through communal celebrations of Mass; personal and collective prayer; and classroom dialogue. The religious and faith dimension of Sacred Heart school is alive and vibrant! |
